RG470, I bet. (does the bridge say "TRS"?) The matching headstock looks great! Congrats, wish I got free guitars.

Re: what model is this ibanez rg???

the only strange thing is the matching headstock and th v series p.u. that are used in higer end guitars, some other 470 had edge trem and V p.u., but I don't remember V p.u. with trs, maybe someone swapped p.u.
470 also had ring mounted p.u. while 570 direct mounted p.u. so...hehe, maybe someone swapped the edge for a trs

Re: what model is this ibanez rg???

Maybe a RG480 because of the direct mounted pickups...

Re: what model is this ibanez rg???

tend to agree with the RG470, but I didn't know they ever came without the pup rings. Also don't know if the oval input jack indicates a MIK actually.

Matt the first (low E, A) locking nut needs to turn 90 degrees.

It's a RG470. I have one. Modded it with 3 DiMarzios and OFR Pro. Plays like a dream!

Re: what model is this ibanez rg???

So you think that someone sanded down the body and headstock, filled the screw holes, and sculpted wood and filler to the pickup routes to fit cosmetically and painted it that drab color with Ibanez logo and RG series logo on the headstock. I highly doubt that and because the older RG's pickup routes we not exact like the one we're discussing, but they were more like this:

Re: what model is this ibanez rg???

it can't be a 570 because it has a TRS trem!
