What model S is this???????

Can anyone help tell me what model this is:

Ibanez S body
22 Fret neck with oval inlays(custom made in the 21st fret)
Trans blue with what looks like a maple top
Black Chrome hardware
PUPs QM1,QM2,QMS1--hum-single-hum w/metal PUP rings
Binding on neck and headstock
Made in Japan

Yep, should be an 540 from the 90s. IMO the era when the nicest S were built.

That sounds YUMMY. The REAL transparent blue (with cosmo hardware) never got an AANJ or HSH setup in the USA - it was gone by the time those came out (in 93?) and only the (less pretty, IMO) teal with gold hardware was left. This was about when the QMs came out.

Anyone have any pics of this?

QM pickups didn't come out untill 94. So it's a 1994 or later S540FMTT, IMO.

Now that I think about it, like 1997 was when they switched to Cosmo on the 540FM...

1998 - There was the S540QS, but I don't think it was offered in blue....

yeah i'd say at 350 they are an excellent deal . I wouldn't mind having one myself

I've always wanted one of those old S 540s too.

Thru my research I am thinking it is a S540QS, Quilted Sapele as well. But there is no mention of them ever being made in trans blue.......hmmmmm Who knows haha It rocks nonetheless
