Question

What would be the old RG series that is really good to have?

As of the topic? Thx

Though I am not too sure, I almost bought the RG550LTD...

Definitely the USA Customs and 7xxs.

RG550 all the way.
The ultimate workhorse of a guitar.

If I had to own/play/gig/tour with any guitar - it would be an RG550. They are just the ultimate all-round guitar in my opinion. But I am talking about the 80's and 90's models, not the newer 1550 models. They can take a bashing and a beating, and still be friggin awesome!

+1 for the 550, you can mod them, re-finish them and they take everything you throw at them, beat one to within an inch of its life, and it'll still beg for more

The RG570 is always worth a look.
But trust me, an RG550 is the only way to go in my opinion. Its the best and easiest way to go by far. Whatever you do though, dont look at the newer RG's, cause they just arent as good in my opinion. Dont get me wrong - they are good, just not AS good as the old 80's and 90's models.

RG550 all the way, you wont regret it.

I certainly hope that the RG550 owner budge... He's a real procrastinator and very hesitant. Not in the sense where I can't accomodate/negotiate, but he keeps changing his mind.

One moment, he tells me the deal is on.. the other moment, he tells me he wants to sell it together w/ the amp (which is abit faulty), then juz a twinkle, he feels abit reluctant, because it was a present...

He really wasted many of my hours... Sigh...

Another vote for the RG550 - it's what I ended up getting when I asked the same question.

rg-750 is even more badass than the rg550. even though the only differences are binding, inlays, and pickups. I just like being a little different.

Hi Rob...

Thx for the consolation... Appreciate it And pardon me, I was referring more to RG550LTD...

I was kinda pissed due to his hestitation. I mean it was like, com'on.. be decisive, you aint gonna achieve anything (in other stuff too) being wishy-washy. I even helped him ask around for the selling of his amp... Sorry for the ranting, it really gets into me as I wasted lotsa time and I am having a honors project. God darns...

The thing is that it's a RG550LTD with super wizard neck, and Lo-Pro edge, and the price was very comfortable...

I missed the chances of buying it in UK... I was there last year almost for the whole year, and now I am back here in Asia... Well, I am now spotting stuff on eBay US and UK. Got friends there who can carry back for me... Perhaps, I can consider eBay Japan... p.s: juz found out that e.bay is filtered... did some simple tweaking.. :P

This is how the axe should look, linked from ibanezregister...

Well, back to the topic...

Old axes that you would die for??
