Whats wrong with my RG?

My 770 goes out of tune every time I play it.

I tuned it up today and all the strings were out of tune within 5 mins and I wasent using the trem arm at all.

This is the only floyd' guitar I have trouble with all the rest of them stay in tune fine.

any ideas?

the strings arent to old.

edge trem is set up correctly.

it could be the temperature in your room, it could be the neck... i dunno really... check the intonation and the neck for bowing...

Have a tech look at it and do a set up. Once its done just keep the same string gauge on it and it should be fine. Did you always use the same string gauge and tuning?

look very good to it....it could be so much....it could be the spring set up after other strings.neck damage?neck screws?toplocks open??try look ask a friend who's good with trems.....good luck...tell us what it was....

Check the two bolts that hold the locking nut on the neck, check the screws that hold the tuners on the neck - heck, check the screws that hold the neck on the body - if any of them are loose, you have a potential tuning issue.

I'm not sure if a bowed neck will have anything to do with tuning problems.

I just got some new strings to put on it and I've got a few things I'm gonna try. The 3 springs i'm using are also new so that shouldn't be the problem.

I think the "pressure pads" might be the problem. 2 of them are the original pads which makes them 17 years old.

I noticed that you mentioned that you had new springs... there's a potential issue there. New springs will need to be broken in... until they settle you may get tuning issues.

I also think that you should check everything that has been mentioned above... guitars with double-locking systems are a minefield, could be anything wrong.
