When was the RG560 discontinued?

What year was the RG560 discontinued? And, WHY was it discontinued? To my knowledge, it hasn't been reincarnated as a different RG... I don't see any RG models today that have the HSS pickup configuration.

The RG560 was discontinued in 1993. The "Why?" is probably a simple matter of not enough demand for it compared to the RG570 or RG550.

Very interesting!! I just realized that the 560 & 565 were both discontinued the same year. Both had different p/u configurations than the other 5xx axes so I'm thinkin demand must have been strong for the H-H style axe. I find it odd that these options didn't turn up elsewhere as in prestige models or something.
