Where are Ibanez guitars made

Hey all! New guy here, I dont own an Ibanez yet but Im shoppping. Ive got a great roots/alt country rig going and have been playing that for a while now, but Im getting into another band playing newer heavier stuff and I need a new rig. I have a mesa single recto coming, and I need an appropriate axe, ala Ibanez. Id really like to stick with a usa or japanees models. They seem to have the best resale and build quality. Correct me if Im wrong please. WHat im wondering is how can you tell where they are made if you dont have the serial number? Im looking mostly at the RG series, Id love an old 80s 550. Love the necks on those. The neck throughs look cool too.

Dude, you gotta use the search function, but, in a nutshell, a RG550 is probably one of the most recommended guitars on this particular site. They're a great workhorse model and they're made in Japan.

Nowadays, Ibanez guitars can be made in Japan, Korea and Indonesia. The most sought after are MIJ as the others vary greatly in quality.

The only USA-made Ibanez guitars are the hard to find USA customs from days gone by and those made for artists in the LA custom shop. If you can get your hands on one of those, I'll trade my house for it

i know that ibanez still does make customs for endorser artist in la, im not sure but i think its the starfield warhouse that makes them
