Which rg is this?

it's made in japan and it has a wilkinson tremelo.

But it looks like a Prestige to me, and it's MIJ. I can't see it being fitted with a TRS. My first guess is it's an Ikebe special or something.

hm, don't know, IIRC Prestiges have small dots. those look like the ugly huge dots from the pre-2003 era. and about the top-mounted TRS... never seen one. the only top-mounted trems RGs i've seen are those from the pre-RG era, i.e. before the commonly known RG design came out (1986) and just after the Roadstars. those had top-mounted Edge trem, like the one below (RG410CI):

It's either a special order as Dee said, or a custom made body with an original Ibanez neck. It can also bee a moded body. Never seen anything like it.

I dont quite get the colour. Is it a very dark transulcent finish??

Yes, you are probably right, Nuno. I thought some earlier Prestige RG's had larger dots? Maybe I'm imagining things...

RG 621 (the first time round) the store "Percy Priors" in the UK sold them for a while in the mid 90s.
