I think the blue one is a little less flashy looking which means that if he were to go to a session with it, it wouldn't raise as many eyebrows. Same thing if he were to play in a jazz ensemble, or a top 40 band, I think the blue lends itself to more styles looks wise, so is probably a bit more versatile...Just my opinion though.

The 550 is a better guitar. It has a LoPro while the 470 will have something like an EdgeIII. This isn't even a fair comparison, hence the landslide.

It's a Japanese LO-TRS, and it holds tune just as well as the LoPro. I know the 450 will never get the same respect, but as far as functionality, the two guitars are almost identical.

i have sold 10 550s in my live....i love cats....what did i have done!
should buy rg550's back?or can i make it good with buying jems?
