Who has Ibanez V's?

Im a V fanatic

I would love to own an Ibanez V but they dont make anymore

so .. I'll have to make one .... basically buy an RG ... take the neck and get a body made for it

So does anyone one any cool Oldies?

This only works if you invest in non-trem Ibanez RG. For just the neck I would scout the bay and pick one up there.
Other option is to score paddle type neck and body from warmoth:

http://www.warmoth.com/guitar/necks/...dle_warmothpro

http://www.warmoth.com/guitar/bodies...m?fuseaction=v

and cut your own Ibanez headstock.

the x series V guitars are much cheaper then the orginal rocket roll V models. Could be a option there for you.

I've never been into Vs. I have owned a few back in the day, they are cool and there are alot of nice ones out there, just not my thing. I think if I did own another, i'd get one of those old Ibanez Vs. That one Paul Gilbert has in that picture is nice.

Re: Who has Ibanez V's?

I've liked them since I saw Paul Gilbert with them, I didn't realise they were a production model though. I thought they were customs or something...I suppose I should have realised that without an f-hole, it obviously wasn't a Gilbert custom.

I think that's an RR550 The Rocket Roll II series.

They've just about doubled in price in the UK since Pablo started having his photos done with them

There was a great Dime-Slime type refinished on on **** a while back I missed out on

I'm obviously not the only one who's seen him with them and thought 'Cool!'.

The PL1550 is a around on **** from time to time, and they look good.

On the subject of x-series, I have a DT350 (charvel star rip-off) and I absolutely love it. A "V" from the x-series sounds Uber cool.

Re: Who has Ibanez V's?

I had a black one many years ago. I hadn't been playing all that long and I remember I loved it. The neck pick up was particularly good though the bridge didn't have enough power, still, it wasn't a guitar that broke the bank.
