They were Dimarzio pickups. Dimarzio made several pickup models for Ibanez. The single coils marked IBZ/USA are stacked humbuckers. Equivalent maybe to a HS1. The bridge IBZ/USA has no Dimarzio pickup equivalent they say. There are also the F1, F2, F3, and F4 Ibanez pickups that I believe were all made by Dimarzio. Those have similarities to Dimarzio stock pickups. Search the forum about it. It's been discussed a lot.

I have an F4 and an F2 in my RG550CA (got em off yahoo auctions). Those old ones dont have the F or C on there so I was wondering which ones they were

Well, the decision is that no one gets the maple neck. It's just not right to me sitting on any of my guitars. I have a maple board Squier strat and that covers the maple gas territory already so no loss.

I had a candy apple 540r when I was a kid. I should have never sold it. I needed the money.
It was a USA custom.

Sold the neck on its original body, a very tasty 1988 540R.

Looks good on both--maple boards are just cool on anything.
But, it has better contrast on the blue body. I'd go with that.

Holy crap! Awesome that you have had all of those! If only I could go back in time to when all of the guitars on that RoadStar ProCustom poster were still in production... Being 6 at the time I knew no better.

And the maple looks awesome on DY!

BTW the last year the 540Rs were released they had wizard necks and a AANJ. Good luck finding one.
