Why do I have a 5 way switch with 2 pickups?

Can anyone tell me what all of the positions on a 5 way switch are on my Ibanez RG620? It has 2 pickups and the piezo is seperate so I don't understand what the 5 way switch is switching. Please email me at rjkrjk@hotmail.com

It could have coil splits, which would be why it has a 5 way.

Ibanez might also simply just buy 5 way switches because there isn't any actual functional advantage to a 3 way switch, and usually the more of one thing you buy the cheaper it is per unit.

Check the Ibanez website. It should have a schematic showing which pickups are selected for each switch setting. 5way = more versatility than 3way.
