Why doesn't this neck fit my RG560?

Not sure if this should go in repair section,but my original neck on my RG560 said 550R on the back and had the red letter A. I bought a replacement on the bay which says 550R with a red letter E. The low E side has a space in between the body and neck when the screws are tightened and it seems like it was wider cause it was tighter to fit in it can anybody explain?

There was a change in the neck width fo the guitars, but I think that's post change to the AANJ, thus post RG560. Have you got years from the serial numbers maybe one of the more techy minded folks can help out.

yeah my original one that fit great serial number is F734558 and the replacements that doesn't fit so great is F742969.

must fit.maybe its from a dry or wet place and then it wood works.i had try to get a neck of a guitar and it didnt work(unless i use a lot of force(no starwars)and a few weeks later the neck was easy to remove.maybe a little sanding will help too.
