Why no Tele style Ibanez??

Wonder why there is no RG body style tele available from Ibanez. Might look kind of neat.

Re: Why no Tele style Ibanez??

Actually.............they made one many years ago. Roughly teleshaped body *different enough to avoid law suits* edge tremolo system tele style pickguard. They are somewhat rare but you can find them on **** the model name slips my mind at this point though sorry.

Re: Why no Tele style Ibanez??

it's called the ballback. It's a great idea, but a really bad looking shape. The regular tele shape that kramer and charvel used looks much better.

the ballback came with ibzusa F-2's if I remember correctly.

Just buy an old square heel type Ibanez neck and stick it on a Warmoth tele body.........

Re: Why no Tele style Ibanez??

That would be cool if they made a super-tele like the super-strat. You know sharper lines, an overall more metal look lol.

Re: Why no Tele style Ibanez??

Looks ok, but it'd be cooler if it had a sharper lower horn. It's one of the many reason I love Ibanez, ah those sharp body edges.
