It'll buzz. I've tried several. IT doesn't pick up through the electric current, but acoustically it buzzes. Very VERY frustrating. I personally would go origal edge any day of the week.

I have played a ZR for a little more than a year now, played it alot (the frets on the guitar wich I bought new in november last year are starting to get pretty worn) and yes, it did buzz. In the beginning that is, after a couple of string changes and lubrications of the whole trem, the buzzing went away. And with the springs getting a little worn, it is now super smooth too. And the tuning stability is insane. I prefer it over my friends edge pro on his 1570 that just feels stiff and numb (may be because he hasent abused his as much as I have mine, he has had it for a year too.) But this is just my opinion of course, and just because my trem has worked great doesn't mean all others will. But I am buying one of the new S prestiges next year with the ZR2 for sure!
