2008 ESPs

These have appeared on various other forums but I haven't seen them here yet (except for the new 8 strings in the 7 String forum which I've reposted here for the sake of completeness).

I like that green string through "colors" guitar. And the 8s I need a stop tail this year.

The top Sambora is hideous, the strat style ones are much nicer though. Interesting to see what the 8 strings are like.

Good to see the George Lynch 'Serpent' being released as a LTD.

Re: 2008 ESPs

I like the first Rob Arnold. It's nice. Nothing else there really appeals to me. That 8-string looks awfully familiar . . . I don't know why ESP bothered - their Ltd 8's won't hold a candle to the prestige ibby's, and the ESP Stef Carpenter one will probably cost upwards of $2K. Poor show.

Re: 2008 ESPs

I have to agree, the Sambora "Thing" is shocking and to tag team that with a (looks like) relic strat... are ESP looking for new ideas??

What's the deal with 8 strings? What's the standard tuning? G below B??

I love the black and white George Lynch model.

You shoulda posted the Jon Donais sig too. That looks lovely. I dig the old style reverse headstocks.

I saw an interview with Sambora done on their last big world tour and he was showing off this guitar. It was built for him by his guitar tech (who aparently is really good luthier). Since then they must have struck a deal with ESP to mass manufacture.

Re: 2008 ESPs

As for the Sambora strat? Well, I am confused because he clearly is Fender Strat fan so why couldn't Fender do this?

Re: 2008 ESPs

I like the horizons apart from those hideous inlays.

Its a shame every one i see has them, if they were blank boards or regular dots i'd probably try getting hold of one.

Re: 2008 ESPs

Anyone know how much will the LTD 8-String cost? I might be interested since I can't afford the Ibanez 8-string, I'm guessing the LTD would be cheaper (and I realize not as good, I would juts like an 8-string).
