I'd like a Prestige Artist I also wouldn't mind an RG321 to mod the crap out of either. And I wouldn't mind more time to practice...that would really make me happier than anything else.

I'd be fine with getting a S2170FW. That and a Mesa mark IV

Re: 2008 Gas (come on, it's that time of the year)

I've recently found out my lovely wife is pregnant with our 2nd child so we're gonna need a bigger place to live. We found out after we'd booked and paid for the Feb trip to Thialand and Malaysia so It's gonna be a minimul GAS year for me. I do however agree with Jim that a 321 would be nice as a project.

-PRS Custom 22
-Gibson Les paul classic white with EMG
-Ibanez pink J-custom

A friend of mine went back to US for Christmas and I ask her to buy a PRS custom 22 or Gibson Les Paul classic (white) with EMG. I don’t know which one she is going to find first, she doesn’t know anything about the guitars. Now it is really painful waiting time. grrrrr.....

Re: 2008 Gas (come on, it's that time of the year)

Well for a start I'll probably buy whatever your off-loading Daz!

Seriously though, for me there's a difference between what I want to get, and what I will get. In an ideal world I'd like to get my hands on a Mark IV combo. But I've got stuff I wanna do before that.

I wanna replace my V-Amp with a PodXT finally, as I have been meaning to do so for a while now. I wanna buy a couple of EMG ZW sets too and kit out all what I have lying around with EMG's. Again a job I have been meaning to do for a while.

Bill Crook Paisley Telecaster - mmmmmmm - probably take me all year to get all the bits together - The new Fender Japan Paisley Teles are unfortunately Basswood (WHY WHY WHY - Surely Alder isn't THAT expensive????) - Crokk relic'd light Ash body, probably a Warmoth Birdseye Maple neck, Barden Pickups and bridge etc etc etc -

Realistically:
Ibanez SZ520QM

Merely dreaming:
JS1200CA
some kind of JEM (probably used)

Some form of Les Paul...possibly an 80' Heritage with the Shaw pickups? I don't know...There are so many Les Pauls out there to choose from, it will probably be a while to find the "right" one.

Re: 2008 Gas (come on, it's that time of the year)

I have a pair of H-H active EMGs that are just waiting to be installed in a guitar, so I'll probably sell one of my guitars and buy a new one then upgrade it. Or I'll just keep them all! Other than that, I might want to revise my rack amp (i.e. new power amp).

This year I plan to practice practice practice, and focus less on gear. But as always, I'm not going to pass up any deals when I see them

Re: 2008 Gas (come on, it's that time of the year)

In no particular order:

Gibson Explorer in White w/ ebony board

Fender Deluxe Tele (undecided on color)

NEW '08 RG3520Z HBK

JS1200

ESP ltd MW-600

Mesa Boogie Roadster (undecided on color but definitely croc finished)

This thread will be like a little time capsule that can be checked at the end of '08 ans see what we actually picked up thru the year.
