Re: 2008 Gas (come on, it's that time of the year)

In 2008, I'm my short list of possible purchases are:

-EBMM Axis w. Floyd
-Mesa Mark IV or RoadKing Combo
-Spider Valve 112
-Weber Mini-Mass Attenuator (Depending on which amp I get)

Not to get off topic but I'm really waiting to see what debuts at Winter NAMM too.

Possibly a jp7string .I've had 8 7s and always sell them off because I stress my wrist out.I keep telling myself I just need to adjust my technique. But I just go for it when I play.If I get one it will just be for writing and breaking out of ruts.

Is that neck a custom bamm? Looks like it is from the real-looking leaves on the vine and the last 4 frets aren't scalloped.

What color(s) do plan to use on the natural Jem? Are you leaving the multi-laminate natural with a clear coat or a colored tint?

I've got 3 projects that need finishing as well. I keep changin my mind on what colors or themes to use on them

Maple neck with 2 walnut stripes, birdseye maple fingerboard, no inlays.
Matte Stain throughout
Stainless Steel jumbo frets.

Re: 2008 Gas (come on, it's that time of the year)

One the amp front...

Top of the list a Cornford MK50 head followed by a Matamp Minimat

On the guitar side...

a nice PRS CE22 or CE24 and a USA Tele or USA Strat

no effects or rack stuff at all

Finally I'd like to have a play with a Weber Mass attenuator so i may get one of those too.

but my 1st GAS spree will be on parts for my unfished products... in fact I've only just been in touch with Rich to supply the mutlitude of parts I need to make a start on my mountain of project guitars!

Modest this year. I haven't played PRS, so an SE to start with. There's a super-cheap camo finish locally which I might pick up.

Re: 2008 Gas (come on, it's that time of the year)

Here's what I *want* to buy:
-PGM301 (or another fixed-bridge PGM)
-Weber MASS attenuator (my neighbors don't like my GH50 as much as I do )

And here's what I'll probably be able to buy:
-Nothing

May be able to scrape some money together for a PGM in due time though

...... and did. The camo finish helped because I managed to sneak it into the house and the missis didn't notice. Played it unplugged while watching telly on New Year's Eve - "What are you doing?" ...... "Air guitar" ...... "Oh, OK."

Seriously? SEs are ridiculously good low end guitars if this one is anything to go by. Paul Allender model on order..... bats an' all.

+1. A mate of mine has 3 x Tremonti SE's and they are fantastic. And he hasn't paid more than £250 for any of them, buying 'used' from Evilbay. They play very nicely and have got great build quality. You'd think it was something double or triple the price really. The early SE Santana models are meant to be brilliant as well.
