Ah, i forgot about those Showmasters... those are really nice guitars, and not too expensive. I really like the HH model with the quilted bubinga top. The flamed ash SSS model is really cool, too.

Carvin makes a fine insrument; they are really nice. Most peopl elik ehteir pickups on the 6's, but change them on the 7's. But they are nice guitars.

The Charvel Traditional (MIJ, I believe "traditional' is the model) has standard trem, HH config,and a 24
fret neck
. From what I understand, if you can find one, they're relatively inexpensive....

What is a Californian contour? This sucker is all UK!

made it and I bought it in 1993. Its a lovely guitar though and is called a "Vienna Pro" nothing to do with California im afraid!
