3120tw or KH-2???

Hey Guys.. IM thinking about buying another Guitar, either a Ibanez 3120tw or a used ESP KH-2 signature .. The only thing i don't like about it is the color and the body.. *I really like the 3120tw!! It is one of the best guitar i ever played.. I have a pair of the emg 81's already, so If i buy the 3120tw I'm going to put those on, and hook up another Vol.control. I want to set it up like the kh-2. So can anyone help me out.

Well, I think the majority are gonna say the Ibanez, particularily cuz this is an ibanez site, and, the majority of people here are not Kirk Hammett fans either. hehe *Anyway, I don't like ESP's at the best of times, so I say Ibanez of course, and IMO also, why ruin it with EMG pickups?

The stock ones are PAF Pro and Tone Zone. And they're not great? who said that? The best thing about that axe (aside from the looks) is that it comes with those pups!

The 3120's killer... I've had a TW for a couple years and have been debating picking up a DR because I love 'em so much.

The stock pickups are pretty good... the Tone Zone in the bridge is awesome. Some people complain about the PAF Pro in the neck being a little muddy--it doesn't bother me, but if it bothers you it could probably be replaced with an Air Norton.

I wouldn't buy the ESP just for the fact that I don't want to be linked to Kirk Hammet

The 3120 is by far the nicest RG model I have ever played....tone second to only the 7VWH, light, fast playing, great trem, cool hardware.....PUPS ROCK. *I prefer Air Norton in the neck, but the PAF Pro is better than ANY stock pickup....I don't like Kirk, and I think ESP necks feel....I dunno....sort of "tight", I guess.....so I say the 3120

I have a TRS II on my JS100, and its been nothing but trouble. *How well do the RG3120tw's stay in tune with the Edge? I hear good things about the trem. *Im also tempted to put the lo pro edge into my JS, because it already has FRED and PAF Pro. *My other question, how does the JS100 neck feel compared to the RG3120? *Thanks for the info.

It's a lo-pro, and it's more stable than a granite hill during an earthquake. Dont' worry about it. It's a great axe. Go buy it...

the 3120 is as close to perfection as I've ever played---and I'm not a huge trem fan.

I'd probablt through an Air Norton in the neck, but definitely leave the TZ.

Get the KH-2 man! yeah!
