A serious "suggest me a guitar" thread

Once I sell my Gibson EDS 1275 and RG20th, I'm going to be in the market for a new guitar.
I'm sure of the specs that I want: TOM bridge, 24 frets, 2 humbuckers, double cutaway body ala ESP Horizon.
I've already thought about the ESP and a Schecter (possibly a little too low end though) but I was wondering if you guitar nerds knew of any small companies that might give me what I'm looking for. Thanks!

Re: A serious "suggest me a guitar" thread

To rty13ibz98: Woah! Too expensive! Also don't really like the body. Thanks for the suggestion though, dude.
To gpenguins: I've thought about that, but I have sort of a love-hate relationship with them. Sometimes the body style looks cool, other times I hate it. And I hate the look of TOMs on their bodies. I could go for a wilkinson, but whatever. Three words: Carvin's always a possibility, but I like the body style of the ESP Horizon/Schecter C-1 the most out of anything.
Anyone have any experience dealing with the Schecter custom shop? I'm pretty interested in dealing with them.

Re: A serious "suggest me a guitar" thread

If Im not mistaken Schecter started out as a custom shop and Ive heard that they atleast USED to put out world class guitars.

Have you checked out BC Rich? I couldnt find the exact model on thier website but if you click on "assassin" a bunch of pics of VERY sweet guitars that fit your lift repeate on that page.

Dean has the "USA Hardtail" series.

Peavey has the "HP Signature" series.

I could go on all day but we kind of need a price range to know what to be suggesting. There are a TON of small or upcoming companies I could think of if I scratched my brain long enough.

Oh yeah, that's a possibility, definitly.
Never liked the Deans or Peaveys, and never trusted BC Rich, but I'll check it out.

I'm seriously looking into Carvin and the Schecter custom shop.
But, really, about the RG20th, I just want to sell.

what's your budget?

me personally, for what your looking at, ibanez has the rgt42fxqm. a hardtail neckthru with quilt top. swap the pickups and it kills. i want one like crazy, but have found some killer deals on other axes that keep me one step away.

Haha also tired of the RG body style, and basswood. I started this thread to discover lesser-known companies. I've looked at everything that comes to mind.
