Alembic ?

Guys I need some help on finding the value on a guitar i'm interested in......
Double cutaway, sorta looks like an old Burns strat copy.
It's an early Alembic 6 string neck through.
Brass hardware, ebony fingerboard, pearl oval inlays, 24 frets i think, 3 emg single coils.
It's in fantastic shape, the hardware has very little wear and the finish is almost flawless.

It's one of the most beautiful guitars I have ever held but as much as I like it, it isn't my style.

I have looked for values everywhere and information seems almost unexistant.

How much do you think it is worth?
How much do they run?
Are they desireable?, enough to justify the investment.

Depends on the model. Orion, Lil Darling, Skylark, Further, California, Spectrum......
That will help determin the value. Also, if it has LED's in the neck.

I believe this guitar is pre-led.
3 knobs like a strat.
brass plate above the neck single coil.
tailpiece has fine tuners like an early eighties lp custom.

No model name anywhere.
Just the large alembic logo in brass on the headstock.

has to be more than 20 years old.

Historically, Alembic guitars command a fairly high price, but like everything else some models are worth more than others. The other side of that coin is that you have a very limited customer base interested in them. Trying to sell one usually takes a long time and lots of negotiation.
