Alex lifeson signature Les paul
c'mon Epiphone,make it happen!
I think it would be a kick-ass axe,lifeson is a legend.
Mahogony body and thick maple top,Seymour duncan '59 neck PAF bridge,Etc..whatever combination suits it ...and the PLUS,an original floyd.
Sadly,I don't think EPI would make such a guitar with a quality floyd or brand name pickups.
Would have to be a an epiphone cause gibson would charge 5000 grand for one haha.

What would you rather have, one Les Paul or two Jems? Sure there nice, but god there out of my price range. Unless I want to sell three or four of my Ibanez's-not!

Not to be the guy to interject logic into this thread, but you are comparing a Custom Shop instrument to a production line instrument, not exactly apples to apples.

Re: Alex lifeson signature Les paul
You can find a good gibson for under 2 grand. I have a 61 sg reissue and its amazing. It cost 300 more than my rg550. Im saving for a les paul standard now.

Re: Alex lifeson signature Les paul
Obviously there are affordable Les Pauls (as per probably twenty other threads . . . ) - just that specific one was a custom shop deal - and would cost you an arm and a leg. Now a production run, affordable LP with a Floyd? You'd be outta luck. And it's kind of a shame. They should test the waters with an Epi version.

Every gibson player will turn their nose up at the epiphone. As would I.

Re: Alex lifeson signature Les paul
guess i've been behind on my times, haha
I didn't know something existed already like this.
Just thought of it one day,an Epiphone with a floyd and decent pups for someone who likes gibson/epiphone and les pauls, and the option to have a floating trem. One wouldn't even have to be a lifeson/rush fan,but an affordable epi les paul with a floyd would be cool.
~Cheers

Re: Alex lifeson signature Les paul
Can't see a Lifeson sig coming out when the Axcess is available. Especially given the price (cheap for a custom shop LP).
I struggling to fight off the GAS to buy one
