Re: American Deluxe Strat Quilted Maple Top
Totally, I am getting one but one of my other strats is probally gonna have to go to get it. I am getting one. Just a matter of time. The body, pups, neck, roller nut, and locking tuners call my name.

I don't know. It looks like a Strat with an identity crisis.

I've been eyeing these. The only thing that has held me back is that they don't have a S/S/S version do they? I'd love a locking tuner, roller nut, pop-in bar strat. A contoured neck joint would be an extra bonus.

Re: American Deluxe Strat Quilted Maple Top
I almost bought one a while back. The thing that held me back was the 9.5" radius. I decided to not get anything with a radius below 12". I'm sure it's a sweet guitar though.

Re: American Deluxe Strat Quilted Maple Top
I frickin' HATE those roller nuts. Tinny tone and they begin to rattle after time. Gimmee a
graphite nut
or better yet a properly cut bone nut anyday. Even melamine makes a better nut than that thing...I'm gonna drop another thread about something else that I saw from Fender that is way cool.

Re: American Deluxe Strat Quilted Maple Top
Problem is every so often the ball bearings can fall out on string changes...no fun. I've had them on a bunch fo guitars I no longer own, just an opinion broham, I'm not trying to start flack, but from experience....never again.

Re: American Deluxe Strat Quilted Maple Top
I've had a
deluxe strat
for a few years, no issues on the lsr. I also had an older
strat plus
with the bigger style roller nut, and again no issues.

Re: American Deluxe Strat Quilted Maple Top
OC, no flack m8. You have had a less than positive experience with the LSR nuts and I dig them. My 93 Deluxe Plus LSR nut is problem free as is the new one on my 88 Plus. However, I will be more watchfull on string changes in the future.

Good to hear. The plus side tho' is evident with them. I have an RG with the usual Edge Pro setup, and I forgot how much I hated floyds so the LSR is obviously a plus regarding tuning stability.
