ANybody own an Edwards or ESP Les Paul copy?

I've been watching them on the bay and I'm considering getting the Page Relic, although I think the relic idea is just plain stupid or an ESP copy. I just want to try something different for a change. I have a Mirage Custom I've had for years (SN#429 no j/k) and it's a great guitar, I'm just wondering do these later models continue to impress their owners.

I don't own one, but I've played the ESP eclipse, and I was very impressed with it. I think the next guitar I buy will be an ESP product.

I've been playing ESPs for close to 9 years, and only made the jump to Ibanez within the last 4 months.

A friend of mine owns the EC-1000. I was very impressed. If you can get past the fact that it doesn't say "Gibson" on the headstock, it's as good or better than a Les Paul. Though, I would still buy a Gibson, because I've always wanted a Gibson.

who cares about the name on the headstock? if it feels and sounds right, what difference does it make who made it?

Re: ANybody own an Edwards or ESP Les Paul copy?

I've had a ESP Eclipse (not LTD) and have a Edwards Sykes LP Custom model. Both are great guitars, the Edwards feels more like a real LP, it's heavy like customs and has the tone, the neck is a little thinner than the LPs I remember. It's a great guitar for the $. The Eclipse is thinner and lighter, and probably slightly better made. It was an awesome guitar, shouldn't have sold it. It had EMGs, not my favorite, but it was a great heavy rock/metal guitar. It felt and played great. It has its own tone, somewhere between a super strat and LP sound because of the lighter body.

Hope this helps,
Roger
