Anyone got a Zakk Wylde Gibson

I'm on the hunt for a new guitar and love trying new things. I have so far owned and sold SA260, RG570, JS1000, JEM 77FP, (UV777 - keeping) and RG2620.
I was lucky enough to play a Gibson les paul standard at a guitar shop and loved the sound but the feel was a little different to get use to. I have heard that the new Zakk custom gibsons have great tone for lead and also a nicer neck than most gibsons. Only issue is the weight of the guitar as its pretty heavy, another guitar I reckon would be a great choice is the Wasburn nuno, so anyone got one of these guitars and could give me their views?

Robbie, these are classified advertisements for people buying or selling gear. To have discussions about gear there is a forum category called 'Guitars and Gear' and under that category is a subcategory called 'Other 6-string Guitars (non-Ibanez brand)'. This is where your thread should go to discuss which one you may want to buy. Then when you have decided, go ahead and take out an ad in this section asking if anyone has one for sale.

so much around now not just forums but all the equipment to choose from in the world of music and can get confusing trying to get some good honest feedback (honesty very rare)

The ZW Les Paul is a totally different beast than your previous guitars. I have not owned one but I spent quite a bit of time playing the maple fretboard version.

The neck is very thick...50s profile. Yes it's heavy. 12" fretboard radius. Stock EMG 81/85 set. It played very nicely. The unfinished neck is a nice treat for a Gibson guitar.

Bottom line: wayyy too expensive. I've played used Customs equal or better than this axe. Unless you have the cash and want to play ZW's guitar, there is no point in buying this axe.

I kept my $4200.00

I played one of those Zakk Wylde Flying V's a couple of days ago. It was pretty nice, had EMG's, a Floyd, big neck...

I was tlaking to some Gibson reps last year at Summerfest and they mentioned something abou those. I just hope they dont make that thing he used at the VH1 Rock Honors show.

Actually I saw BLS a few months back and Zakk played that floyded flying V for a few songs. The thing definitely LOOKED like a beast.

I used to have a Gibbo ZW.It was a beauty but cost alot of money.I dont think the weight is really an issue.It maybe more wise(cheaper!) though to get a standard or custom and put some EMG's in it.
