Are there back stops for the original floyd?
yea... i had an evh d-tuna in my guitar until about an hour ago... wasnt working too well and i missed the pull back from when it was floating... so i unblocked it... but i hate the tuning issues with
floating bridges
... also dont like how they sink all the way down if u want to have all strings off to clean... does anybody make a system for the floyd so that there is pull back but also has stop like a spring... kind of the same idea as the zero rocker bridge...

The TremSetter and Ibanez Back Stop do allow you to pull up, but they seriously dampen the motion of the springs, so you can't "flick" the trem bar and get the warbling flutter effect.
It's harder to do subtle vibrato with the trem due to the increased stiffness these devices add, but they're great for getting more tuning stability during bends and if a string breaks.
Not as stable as having the trem blocked for downward motion only, but much better than stock.

you can do the flutters, but you better refine your 'flutter skills'.
You'll have to hit the bar damn hard to expect it to flutter, I reckon.
Its as easy as pie to do without a tremsetter installed.
