Re: Atlas Custom Guitars

Having played it few times now I can honestly say that I never had a guitar that was that easy to play from the very first touch. It is simply amazing how comfortably this guitar is and how easy it plays .

Re: Atlas Custom Guitars

Well, what better way to give a review than to record something . I did a recording with a clean tone and then a distorted tone. I flip around with pickups and the coil-tapping during playing. Hopefully it should give you an idea of what sounds you can get out of this guitar and how good the pickups are.

1. Test of Sapphire Star (clean).mp3 8.37 mb

http://rapidshare.com/files/7566199/...lean_.mp3.html

2. Test of Sapphire Star (distortion).mp3 6.06 mb

http://rapidshare.com/files/7566600/...tion_.mp3.html

Forgive my crappy playing (early in the morning) and crappy recording . Recorded with my V-Amp2 via line-in into Audacity 1.3.2 (beta) and exported to mp3 (320 kbit) with Lame 3.98.

Enjoy!

Re: Atlas Custom Guitars

I Just heard the heavy mp3, It sounds very good and quite meaty...(your recording is way too high so it dstorts too much) but man can really play.... ( I had nightmares of incredible guitars with noobs playng them!!!)

3 thumbs up!

1 for the guts to orde rit
2 for the guitar that is a five star.
3 for the playing...

congrats...what a christmas present!!

Re: Atlas Custom Guitars

Looks good, but I'm so leery of ordering from someone that's not in the "recognized" realm of custom builders that's out of country.

Re: Atlas Custom Guitars

Right now I'm not concerned about quality (well yes I am), I'm more concerned about recourse to recovering my money should they stiff me on the order, considering we are in different countries.

I had the same worries. They only want 30 % the price in order to begin production in my case that was 375 USD. I also had 200 USD tremolo unit I sent them to install in the guitar. But when I saw the first pics my worries easied . Their customer service is great they even called me twice regarding some questions I had (you don't get that service from european companies).

Re: Atlas Custom Guitars

Sounds good then. I mailed them to see if they make Soloist copies.

Weird??? Try asking them about their Sapphire Star (that's the name of their PRS copy)? My guitar is the S111 I think.

Re: Atlas Custom Guitars

Methinks that you want them to build an EXACT copy of the CU24. Just ask for the Star Sapphire shape. The headstock is different, if I'm not mistaken). Gorgeous guitar Andre. Nice playing too. I might go for one of those Suhr models once I get the money and they haven't jacked up their prices.
