I have both an Anderson (Drop Top) and Suhr (Pro Series S4) guitars (as well as a couple of Fenders). Both are sweet! The Suhr will probably get closer to a Fender'ish sound. To me, the Anderson has a warmer and fuller tone. Since you are a lefty like me, it is impossible to compare them because you will rarely see both a lefty Anderson and Suhr in the same store unless you go to Jerry's Lefty Guitars in Florida. I bought both of my guitars through Jerry. Good luck.
