Best tone ever acheived and how did you get it?

Whats the best tone youve ever gotten? Hands down the best sound ive had was from a usa custom rg, with a tone zone, through a 5150 straight with a touch of reverb for sustain. I lay awake at night dreaming about that sound. Its why i still play guitar :>

Rhythm: My JCM800 with 4x12 + Ibanez Tube Screamer + EQ and Gibson V with 500T at bridge.

Lead: MESA/Boogie MKIV with PRS Custom 22
Also: 5150 w/external reverb and my Charvel 475. Maybe not the most prestigous Charvel but a true head cutter, apparently I got a very good one.

customshop one off Gibson Explorer, into channel 3 on mesa Road King with progressive linkage on 1/2 capacity (so im using 2 sets of valves) and then a nice ambient reverb patch on my eventide. dreamy lead tone without sounding 80s and processed. wonderful punch and clarity carrying a huge thick tone.

Aria hollow body through a laney amp with a little dist. lows and highs at about half and mids at about 3/4. Played a slide and the harmonic overtones were just fantastic. I gotta get me a hollow body.

Ibanez 1989 Jem 777vbk with paf pros, DR Highbeam 9's, Peavy 5150. with a touch of verb. Gain at 7 Bass at 7 Mids at 7 and highs at 10. Presence at 6. Reverb at 1 1/2. Vintage Marshall 4x12 with Jensens, that i assume were 25 watts. and my morely bad horsey. The tone was GODLY. I have never EVER played through another 5150 that sounded like this 1 at a rehersal studio i went to. It was GODLY. I begged them for 6 months to let me buy it. Offered as much as $4,000 for the head, but they wouldnt sell it. To this day i dream of finding another 5150, with that magical tone. I still think about that tone EVERY DAY. And look for gear to find it again. It is MY HOLY GRAIL.

Couldn't remember the name of the amp for a week. Anyway,
Ibanez AR-300 through a Digitech RP-1 into a Howard Dumble Steel String Slinger 100W head on a Mesa 4-12" cabinet. Maybe Black Shadow speakers? Just silly for every one of my digitech standard patches.

'91 Fender Strat Plus with gold lace sensor pu's straight through my Marshall JCM 800 with 4x12 slant face cab. No effects. I had to turn around, stop playing, and make sure that it was me making that unbelievable tone...

Well, one of the best tones (to me) I ever got was playing my EB/MM Evh through a friend's Marshall shredmaster pedal into a little Crate transistor amp.
