I remember that guitar. I never played one but I remember seeing it all the time in old Guitar magazines. It brings back memories. I owned a 1988
Yamaha RGX
back in the day and I loved it. One of my best friends owns it now. Yamaha is great.

Same for me. I always loved the look of it, only ever saw it in magazines.

Yeah, as I was checking out Kosaku's page I saw a plaid guitar or two and immediately thought of these old Blues' Yamahe, I thought they looked really cool. Surprising that they didn't make a comeback during the grunge thing with all that flannel. That would've been really funny.

Re: Blues Saraceno Plaid RGZ820R Anyone have one?
wow, blast of nostalgy! great guitar, always loved it, and always liked Saraceno, great player! too bad here came the cheap version only... here are a few pics i googled about his Ibanez-era custom plaid RGs:
on the Ibanez: The Untold Story book there's another custom plaid RG, in red and green i think. and i like this custom RG too, great colors, and if 'im not wrong it looks slightly smaller than a standard body? or is he that big?

I've been looking for one of those but they don't come around very often. He now uses the Samick Radio series. Been thinking of getting one of those as well but they just don't look real versitle.

im going to assume painted for 2 reasons:
One it says painted on the print.
and
Two it doesnt look completely lined up at spots.
