While considering my current "should I or shouldn't I" conundrum with the rebuilt "stop tail" UV7PBK I found at GC, I wandered around and played a few guitars... I've been looking for something to take the place of my Strat and Tele for a little while in the interests of "consolidating" my ever expanding pile of guitars, and I was playing a few high end Fenders and a couple of G&Ls when I came across an EB/MM Luke and decided to take it for a ride... very nice guitar, with it's gun-oiled neck and EMGs I fell for it almost immediately. The neck is very different in shape from my Jems but feels similar (but nicer) than my Fender necks - it's great for thumb over stuff (Hendrix!! :-) and the offset V shape is comfortable even though the narrow fretboard slows me up some... Still, a
killer guitar, and it absolutely destroyed anything else in the store in its price range - with the possible exception of the Ibanez
Prestige guitars there, but I've got enough "RG" style axes... I dunno for sure yet, but this could be the best gear purchase for me since my 7DBK!

*If the Petrucci's this good, it must be a fine instrument...
