Bought A Squier!

So i've just come back from my journey picking up a Squier Stratocaster i bought, didnt cost me much , AND its Made In Korea

now from what i've heard, the korean squires are actually good!

its a type of guitar i've always wanted

a Strat with a maple fretboard (ala' yngwie malmsten XD)
hasnt got any strings on it yet, but the seller did give me a set of Daddario's (My fav!) and also a gig bag, i would really like to say how much i paid , but all of you would be like "=| NO WAY!" or "Omg! you got more than a bargain!" hehe some im not gonna tell *shows tounge*

Squiers are good for what they are. I'm proud that my first electric was a Squier Affinity strat

For £30 I'd buy them all day!

oh and can i use Dean Markley Love Potion on the fretboard? to like clean it?

theres only a few dings on this guitar and thats on the head, i havent found any dings on the body except a few scratches on the back , nothing major though =]

Btw guys i only bought this guitar cos of the Maple fretboard and strat shape

, i've already got a Ibanez RG550 which is my main guitar, this is just a mess around guitar so for £30...pretty worth it

the yellow one hehe , think its a good idea? and yeh maybe change the pickgaurd and ermm change the bridge and neck pickups hmm

Very good for the cash, you got a super bargain. Indonesian Squier's are good too these days. I bought a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass a while back, and nope it's not flawless, but for the cash I doubt I could have got anything better (£175). I heard somewhere that Squier improved QC recently since Fender threw some money at them. If that's true, then it definitely paid off.

As for customizing your Strat, I would avoid any tacky pearloid crap (sorry jb), and I doubt I'd spend a lot of cash getting it refinished, etc. Just stick some decent pickups in there and shred away.

, how much would it cost to refinish it? well im short on cash so i'd have to look on the bay for some pups, im thinking of putting the HS-2 in the neck(im not sure if thats the one yngwie uses in the neck) and a Hot rail in the bridge, whadya think?
