Bridge problem with my ESP

I bought a new ESP LTD M200

It has an esp licensed bridge

I decided to change the strings and guess what

the allen to release the string on the bridge is at an angle that I cant get the allen key into it

the fine tuners are in the way and you cant unscrew them fully

I am left bamboozled, is this a manufacturing problem?

regards

Re: Bridge problem with my ESP

no, lift the bridge up using the whammy bar, a bit of initiative is all it takes.

And are you a Bodom fan?

Use the whammy bar to tilt the bridge, then unlock the string bolt.

Yes I am a huge bodom fan

The bridge is more like a edge lo trs

and the fine tuners are in the way of the allen key bolt

I think it may be a manufacturing fault

replace it with an ofr(idk if it fits) if its a problem with the actual bridge, + it would be an upgrade from a licensed

See if you can obtain shorter allen key from somewhere.
What you're describing is a pretty common "problem" on low profile floyds, including the lo pro edge.
If you can't find a shorter one, just saw off 5mm of the allen key tip with a metal saw and you'll be fine. That's what I always do.

Nice one

what was he like?

Also I am getting a replacement cos those bridges are not supposed to be like that

the problem with getting a smaller allen key is that the gap between the bolt and fine tuners are half a centimetre

so thats quite an impossibility
