Bucketheads White Gibson Les Paul

Hello

I bought the secret recipe dvd and there is a leaflet saying you can win a buckethead guitar

are they in production?

what specs are the guitar, I presume it to be an oversized gibson les paul

maybe 25.5 inch scale and thicker body

his pick up choice is unknown

anybody have any ideas or more information about that guitar?

He uses dimarzio x2n in most of his guitars but I'm not sure about that one. Where'd you bought the dvd? Also, I guess you noticed he's pretty secretive (is that a word) so it might as well could some inner joke or something. All speculation, but I wouldn't hold my breath . Cheers!

Closest thing I guess is a Les Paul BFG or whatever it's called?

was curious about this BFG and went to the Gibson site... reverse flying V... not curious anymore.

I had a look at that Gibson BFG but I think it aint even close to Bucketheads White Gibson Les Paul

I am pretty sure that his is bigger than a normal Gibson Les Paul

If you look at the spacing of the volume, tone and the switches he has they are pretty spread apart

Also if you look at the guitar in comparison to his size it fits rather well

His Les Paul bodies were custom made and then Gibson did all the finish work. I know he doesn't use X2Ns anymore. The general consensus is he uses super distortions, tone zones or 496R/500T, no one has a definitive answer though. He doesn't exactly... talk.

i believe the guitar in question was a steinberger that was given to buckethead by henry kaiser, some time ago there was a contest where people under a certain age (16 i think) were to send in tapes of themselves playing and i guess buckethead was gonna give the axe to his favorite.

from official site......"Kaiser’s Gift" is the Steinberger GS that was given to Buckethead by renowned experimental guitarist/composer Henry Kaiser (Yes, he is related to that Henry J. Kaiser). Mr. Kaiser was quite impressed with Bucket, and he asked Buckethead to play on his Hope You Like Our New Direction (1991 Reckless Records). Bucketheadland held a contest in 2002 to pass this beloved guitar that was used on The Praxis Transmutation CD to a worthy youngster.

I saw him on youtube doing a slap solo while playing with Les Claypool! Thanks guys for clearing out that this is not a regular Gibson.
