Can a neck for a Floyd Rose guitar go on a non floyd guitar?

hi,
I have a Jackson Dkmgt and I want to put a new neck on it.
I was looking for either a Jackson, Kramer or an Ibanez neck.
The only problem is the majority of those necks i've seen online are meant for floyd rose guitars.
Is there anyway to put a normal nut on the neck?
Or is the floyd nut without the locks alright?

i dont think u can replace the nut because of the bit cut out, but i think ou can have it with just the nut and no studs or locks

If its made for the same scale length it will fit and work fine. You can't really replace the nut without some expensive modifications, but locking nuts work fine, just take the pads and screws off and you shouldn't have a problem.

There is still the possibility of the neck bolts not lining up though, so it will likely be best to buy a jackson neck, as kramers are hard to come by and ibanez necks are more likely to have the AANJ bolt pattern on them, which means they wouldn't fit.

Alternatively, why not get a neck made? THat way you can get one exactly to your specs and there'll be no problems with getting it to fit or using an alternative nut. Any of the luthiers here should be able to make you one, but I'd say ET guitars are probably the best bet right now, as Jaden seems extremely busy. So does ET for that matter, but slightly less so.

Shouldn't be a problem. Paul Gilbert often plays one of his guitars with a fixed bridge that was swapped in from an Edge. He kept the same neck on it and it has the locking nut on there without the clamps. You can see it in this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCojcP_6AkI

As long as the neck fits properly, it should work. It may not be ideal though.
