Re: Caparison Dellinger vs TAT comparison
hi dude,
actually what I'm thinking is a standard dellinger pro with white color.
maple board is nice, but not to me, I hate it, I always like ebony on the dellinger and TAT.

I was just at the Arch Enemy show in T.O. last friday - awesome sound - awesome guitar. Chris played the **** out of it.

I love the Amott brothers. How did they sound live? I have heard complaints about their tone now that they are using Randalls. Although I think the tone on the new album is awesome personally.

Re: Caparison Dellinger vs TAT comparison
Well I've seen them twice - the first time they opened for Machinehead, the second they were headlining. They definitely sounded better the second time . . . I'd recommend checking them out.

I just ordered a Frozen Sky TAT... hopefully I'll get it next week.
I'm so stoked.

Re: Caparison Dellinger vs TAT comparison
Gratz Ecstatic Youth, I can't wait to be stoked myself.
There is one thing I noticed while I was drooling over TAT pics. The free space provided by the lower cutaway on TATs and Dellingers are a lot smaller than what we have on Jems/RGs.
I'm wondering if this, in anyway hinders playability at those frets, especially for players with big hands?

Re: Caparison Dellinger vs TAT comparison
I have big hands, and my pinky does slightly touch the lower horn whenever I play in the high register, but it's no big deal. The heel is chunkier than on an RGT, but it doesn't feel uncomfortable, just different. The neck has a gloss finish (duh!) and it's very smooth. The neck profile is just awesome. Better than any Ibanez, in my opinion. The PH-R is the best pickup I've ever tried, seriously. Very rich and clear sounding distortion. Great variety of tones thanks to the
coil split
option. I haven't really used the whammy bar, but I've had a
Schaller trem
in a guitar before and they're fantastic trems.
It's the best looking, playing, sounding guitar I've ever owned. Couldn't be happier.
Oh, I almost forgot... it was perfectly setup when I got it.

Awesome guitar man. The PH-R does kick ass doesn't it? I put one in my Horus and love it. I can't wait to change out the neck pickup. I have a Dimarzio Fast Track 2 ready to go in any day now. Are you planning on swapping the neck or middle pickup on the TAT?

Thanks. Yeah, the neck and middle pickups sound pretty good but I really want to try the PH-R/Hot Rails combo.
Horuses are fantastic guitars, even though I had to sell mine.
