Caparison prices

Could someone give me a ballpark price range for Caparison guitars? I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find any prices on them.

Re: Caparison prices

In USD 1500-2300
I've Seen Some Special models go for over 3000 though.

You can snag one pretty cheap off of the bay if the seller is from Japan (Around 1100). They seem to be alot cheaper in Japan.

They do get very pricey, but theyre wort it.

Teh Bay is your best bet. My friend snagged a Snow Cloud Horus for 1200. Buying direct from Japan makes all the difference.

Re: Caparison prices

What model are you looking for?? I believe the Horus is one of the cheaper models. A TAT II (super sweet guitar) runs for about approx ~$2300 or so.

Interesting that you asked about Caparison guitars. I **JUST** helped start a new board for Caparison guitars at http://www.caparisonforum.com.

Re: Caparison prices

I honestly don't think I've ever seen one for less. The CHEAPEST I've ever seen a used horus for was maybe $1000-$1100 for a USED one!! But I can honestly say that Caparison's are kick @$$ guitars.

Re: Caparison prices

Buddy is dead on about the prices. I just aquired a new TAT II Frozen Sky and that was the price. The quality is as good/great/better than anything out there. Absolutely superb guitar.
My general rule is no gigging with a new piece of gear.. I want to learn the in's and out's of something before I gig it..just in case it goes belly up or something. I recieved my TAT II on last Tuesday evening..and Wednesday it was on a plane with me heading to the NGW offices to track the cd for my new instructional book. It was the ONLY git I brought with me.

Re: Caparison prices

They make just 40-ish guitars a month (as far as I know). Their quality control and attention to detail is very impressive going by the ones i've seen & owned.

Re: Caparison prices

Everyone that I've come across has been spot on in terms of production. My only gripe is that I wish they rounded off the fret ends. But then again very few companies ever do that.

Re: Caparison prices

Maple boards are only for custom built endorsee guitars. Hopefully they will be an option one of these years. I bought a slightly abused Applehorn Aurora off of Da' Bay from JPN, and it was under 1000 usd. I'm really torn between Caparison & Ibanez. Nothing growls like my Cap.......
