Charvel guitars - is anybody an expert?

I would like to know a bit more about my Charvel guitar.

It has a headstock logo of 'charvel' in the shape of a guitar
Pickup config H-S-S
22 frets
neck plate says made in Fort worth, TX. serial # 260067
no scratch plate, has 5 way switch and vol and tone knobs
locking floyd rose-old style

so what model is it?
what year?
where to get spares?

Here's a basic chart of serial numbers, and some more information.

Basically, your Charvel is a late 80s or early 90s Japanese model, probably a Model 3 from your description.

No problem. I had a look for some other Charvel sites, but a lot of them appear to be down at the moment for some reason. One particularly good site is Jackson/Charvel World, which has loads of great pictures and info.

I love Charvel guitars almost as much as Ibanez - something about 80s photos of guys like George Lynch and Warren DiMartini tearing it up speaks to the teenager in me. I keep promising myself I'll build a Green Meanie replica, definitely, as soon as etc etc etc.

I have had this charvel for a while now and use it for a backup to my bfp and uv7bk.

It has a completely different sound to the Ibanez guitars which i like.
