Charvel So-Cal Style 1 2H

I was just wondering if anyone here owns one of these guitars and also how they play. I stumbled across them a couple of days ago and they intrigue me. The only problem I have with it is that Fender is the parent company now. They list at $1099.99 and I think everyone knows how Fender overprices their products.

But then again, back in the 80's Charvels were top of the line instruments.

The new charvels are under-priced IMO. With the exception of the cheap bridge & electronics, those guitars are killer!

There is nothing over priced in regards to these guitars. I have a So Cal Style 2 (telecaster) model. This guitars is 100% USA made! One of the best guitars I have ever owned peroid! I wouldn't go stating Fender overprices their guitars. If Ibanez made a guitar this quality they would charge $3000.

Cheap bridge and electronics? WTF? These guitars have real Floyd Rose Trems, Duncan or Dimarzio pickups, depending on the model. Where is the cheapness of that?

Played a couple a while ago. Great guitars. I don't need another guitar, but damn. Esp. those with the maple fret boards.

+1

They are absolutely fantastic, and when you consider what Ibanez are charging for similar specs, they are a bargain.

There are only 5 dealers in the UK that have them and I frequent one of those (pm if you want to know where) regularly. I played one this week and was genuinely suprised at how god they are. If you are not looking specifically for a Wizard type neck(ie ultra thin) then these are the best you will ever play IMO.

They are very similar to the $2000 EVH specials they released a couple of years ago.
