Charvel = Way over priced

Howdy Folks,

I was in the local music store up here ( Long and Mcquade in Oshawa ) playing 2 charvels.

One was one with a Floyd Rose Pro, which was actually quite nice, but not as good as my Edge imo...pullup/dive seemed less etc...anyways, it had a single Seymour Duncan pickup in the bridge. The Neck was maple and the fretboard seemed to be Ebony, which was very nice, I never really played ebony before, so it was a nice change.

The price tag was 2500 bucks, and it was on sale!!! Don't think it's just the music store because they've got great prices on all there stuff!!

The second was practically the same except two single coil Seymour Duncans in the middle and the neck and a Non-reccesed Orignal Floyd Rose. It also had no tone knob, Just a volume one.

Price Tage: 2800 bucks!

I know there all "Custom built in the U.S.A" but for christ sakes, my 550 that I got for 400 bucks plays 20000000000 better then them. Charvel isn't even a huge name.

Just thought I would share this and see what other's opions are on this matter.

Well Charvel probably isn't as huge name as Ibanez or Gibson or something but it's a classic. Everyone remembers those old 80's Charvels so now when they are making San Dimas models again it's guarateed that they will sell no matter how much they cost. If you want a new Charvel, that's the only choice you got. So they can ask whatever they want.

Whatever they are, you can get a better guitar for a lot less money. I don't care where they are made, the sum off the parts isn't in line with the price. Wonder how much it costs them to build the damn things?
