I'm not hung over so apparently not too much but the blurry pics actually look exactly like I was seeing things at that point
I think I had about 6 Jager Bombs and maybe a six pack of brew so I was only a little sideways, it's just mildly funny that the pics are too
I had alot of fun trying out all the factory settings on that little G-Dec amp and I'm looking forward to getting to know it well enough to re-write some of the arrangements. That little amp is going to be a GREAT addition to my teaching studio. I'm going to check into what footswitch Fender sells for it and also if there is a cover or case I can get for it to keep it protected while bringing it back and forth from my studio to my house.
That EC-1000 is a really nice guitar. I have been looking to get a
Les Paul style guitar for awhile and always figured I would buy the version of an EC-1000 with Seymour Duncans until ESP released this color (vtb- Vintage Black) without all the bling bling abalone binding. It has 24 XL frets, a mahogany set neck, a light weight mahogany body (7 1/2lbs maybe), EMG 81/60 (might change to JB/Jazz or Livewire JB/Jazz sets), Tone Pros locking bridge,
Schaller locking tuners, Earvana compensated nut and aged triple binding setting off the satin black finish.
I restrung it with 10's and added a pair of matching (brass, not gold) Dunlop strap locks yesterday. I enjoyed the chance to spend a couple hours playing it and so far I'm really impressed at the playability of this guitar. It is very comfortable and a nice change to have an LP style guitar.
I'll get to try it out onstage this weekend and see how it fairs with the EMG's in a live setting before I pass judgement on the EMGs. I am willing to try the 18v mod first if I decide these pickups aren't for me before I spend the cash to replace them. If these pups do come out I figure I should get enough cash selling them to easily buy a replacement set from Seymour Duncan and new pots.
It feels like my birthday or Christmas around here lately
