Copying PRS again

IMHO, Eggle have always spent too much time trying to be the "British PRS", and not enough time developing their more original lines. I think the best designs they've been involved with recently are the Fret-King Esprit models. I never really took to the Berlin or Evo style.

Fine guitars, though. A friend of mine bought one and sold his treasured Les Paul inside a week.

Copying PRS again

The berlins are OK but it's the poop man's PRS expression that annoys me. At Least Eggle have more than three shapes

The LA Strat range which ARE different than the PRS wannabe look of the rest are my fave but nobody bought them so production stopped. The Iomi SG type is quite nice looking too.

Copying PRS again

It was my understanding that although they are not cheap here in the US, in Britain they are of comparable quality to a PRS but they cost a lot less, because they're made there. If that's still true, then I don't have a problem with the obvious copying, because there are some marked differences. There are some "Warrior" guitars that are the same rip off of Eggle, and no one seems to care about that. A Tom Anderson is a rip off of everything under the sun, just made well, so you can't pick on them. The Eggles are the same. They use such gorgeous tops and have good enough workmanship that I can't fault them. I like the mounting ring deally where they use plastic under the thin metal ring.
