CORT EVL K6 guitar...anyone heard of it??

Hey guys.. i just came across this CORT guitar which has EMG 81/85 pickups with a floyd rose licence bridge at a very reasonable price...

Has anyone here used a CORT brand guitar?? Would love to hear your views about the guitar...

Alot of the Korean Ibanez are/where built by the CORT manufacturing plant.
Cort makes many guitars for many brands.Usually good guitars in the $500/$700 range. and more

actually i was having a doubt if 'CORT' was a good brand or not...cuz i did'nt want to have any problem with my guitar in the long run...

But i think i'll go for the guitar as the specifications of the guitar are awesome...
I hope others agree with me.... whatsay people??

I'd have always said that cort make "ok" guitars rather than good guitars.

For $700 you could get a Japanese RG with a pickup upgrade. I'd look at the options before dropping $700 on that Cort.

i've heard that the serial numbers of Ibanez guitars starting from "C" are made in CORT factories...
So if thats so... i don't see any reason why CORT is bad

You're absolutely right, those Ibanez guitars which have "C" serial numbers are indeed made in the Cort factory. They're not bad guitars, but as a general rule, they're not GREAT guitars either.

Those Ibanez guitars with "F" serial numbers are made in the Fujigen gakki factory. These are generally regarded as better guitars than the Korean "C" guitars.

yeah jim777...i am from Pune,India... and yes we do have some good guitar shops here...such as "FURTADOS"

And besides, the Metro city-Mumbai is not far from here where u have numerous music shops

i own a cort x11...it has two emp pickups oc1s its a killer for the price, many people r just nuckeheads abusing abt cort guitars i didnt had dat much cash to go upto d evl k6 bt i think it will b a good deal....cort gives some awsome deals in d low price \M/

@ metal : FURTADOS is a killer shop bt i dont think dey deal in corts dunno abt naw bt earlier my friend went to frutados nd askjed abt cort nd dey said dey didnr heard of such s#$% gtrs bt dat was long time ago dunno abt naw coz cort is a lot famous
