Couple of rare ones

I had a good GAS week......got four new ones. These two are pretty obscure.

First up is a Pedulla......Known as a maker of high end basses, they produced
guitars for a while in the 80's. Pretty Gibsonesque, but will walk all over the
stuff Gibson is putting out today.

Next up is a 1979 Guild S300D. I'd been looking to get one of these for as
long as I can remember. This one is a veteran of an untold amount af gigs
as you can see from the finish. But it still is a nice player and a solid axe.
I picked up a set of heavier gauge strings for this one. I'm thinking of using
this one as a pseudo 7 stringer......should be an interesting experiment.
BTW......can you spot the cat?

They really are...this is the third one that I've owned. They're produced in
the next town over from me. I've seen a couple over the years that have
Bartolini actives with an onboard preamp......really nice,I'd love to score
one of those.

Any chance you'd disclose the price on these things? I like the Guild!

I don't see why not.....I got them both at pretty reasonable prices IMO.
The Pedulla was $435 and the Guild was $396.......both off the bay.

Re: Couple of rare ones

That's crazy, they are both in an LP style, but both have 24 fret necks...

You know Mike,I remember you mentioning that in one of your posts.
The thing that's funny about this one is the guy originally was asking
for a $749 BIN. These were originally $1,000+ guitars....back in the day
yet,and I have an affinity for them,so I offered him $700 shipped. He
never answered me. When he relisted,I offered again....no answer. Then
he changed the auction to a straight no reserve setup. Well, you better
believe I was lying in the weeds waiting to pounce when it ended...lol!!

Moral of the story?........sometimes greed can be a bad thing.
