Custom built guitar question - ... compared to a DNA

I would like to get thoughts on getting a luthier to build me a DNA like guitar... how much would it cost (with most of the same hardware and electronics)?

I think that the DNAs rock but c'mon... I think that they are way overpriced.

Someone listed the price of everything recently in another thread. I think the total came to $1500 or $1600.
