Cut RG neck to 22 frets?

Has anyone removed the last two frets from an RG 24 fret neck so it could be put on a Sabre or Radius guitar needing only 22 frets?

It looks like the scale is the same, so...

I wonder because I'm looking for a sharkfin inlayed wizard neck for one of my 540Rs and the RG necks come available much more often than those made for the s guitars.

Wouldn't you have to hack about an inch of the heel of the neck off to make it line up? And then it wouldn't fit in the socket right anymore, right? I'm no expert, but it doesn't seem like a very good plan to me.

Looks like its possible then. The heel of the old-style rg necks should fit perfectly as the neck only has an extesion of the fretboard to accommodate the extra two frets. I'll have to add the binding back to the end though; that was the only itchy part of the guitar pictured in the links above.

thanks for the links.
