point in case, you know what you're getting with an ibby, and at any price point what you're getting is up to scratch.

Yeah I see where you're coming from comparing the Ibanez. If you pay $1000 canadian for a Dean ,you'll get just a dean that will prob be crappy with no resale value in a few years. If you spent 1000 on an Ibanez , you'd have life-long quality for good with a good resale value. I'd imagine the U.S. Deans would be amazing , (if Dime played them ,they gotta be at least gig-worthy) but also amazingly exensive (could prob have 2 prestiges for the price of one Dean US.

I Never seen a DBZ guitar in person ,I live in a small town and my local store only stocks crappy korean POS guitars ,and you gotta search the paper or order with 30% down (without seeing or playing ) for your speical order guitar. They just seemed cool online as I am a fan of bad-assed shaped and pointy headstock guitars.

And with Dean being a hypocrite, yeah the world is full of sell-outs and hypocrites. It makes them good money!

for the most part of dime's time in pantera he actually played a washburn, but he was a long time dean fan. Dean went out of production for the majority of the 90's.
I've played quite a few deans and i've gotta be honest..... they're at best a bit on the clunky side. I'm not saying the build quality is rubbish, just the whole feel of them, still who am i to argue with dime... that said 10 out of 10 satch's and vai's can't be wrong!
