Cool

DC02: Jem Project 'Intense Rock II'

here again with my second project.

I got the project idea from the Intense Rock II Video by Paul Gilbert and his Ibanez custom Ghostrider (I Love it):

but this project is a Ibanez JEM stile with the vine inlay, of course . I will name DC02 'JEM Intense Rock II'. it will be something like this:

Specifications DC02:

- Body: alder wood. from monsterguitarshop.
- Neck: flame maple with bubinga and darius stripe, super wizard shape, jumbo frets, and reverse headstock.
- inlays: red vine and pearloid inlays with green stem on a birdeye maple fingerboard.
- Bridge: Ibanez Lo Pro Edge black.
- Tuners: Gotoh black.
- Pickups and electronic: 3 humbuckers Dimarzios Paf Pro mounted on a clear pickguard, 5 way switch and a miniswitch for tap coil, and only a volume knob.
- Finished: red color.

my others projects are here:

DC01 'Jem Woods': DC01 (this guitar is finished).
DC02 'Jem Intense Rock II': this thread (this guitar is finished).
DC03 'Jem Fresno': DC03 (this guitar is finished).
DC04 'PGM Black': DC04 (isn't finished).
DC05 'RG custom Quilted': DC05 (isn't finished).
DC06 'RG Swirl': DC06 (canceled).
DC07 'Jem Spanish Swirl': future project (of course, I reserved the number '07' for a Jem )
DC08 'JCR Custom Ghostrider #1': DC08 (this guitar is finished).
DC09 'JCR Custom Ghostrider #2': DC09 (this guitar is finished).

(not for sale)

I hope that you like this project.

dani.

Re: DC02: Jem Project 'Intense Rock II'

here the body & pickguard:

as you can see on pics, the body needs some little fixes: make the anchors bridge holes a little more wider; make holes on pickups cavities for the screws pickups. and other little things.

(sorry my bad english)

may be that I dont understand your cuestion...
but no all time on. the wiring diagram will be just like any other RG or Jem 5 way switch, but with HHH pickups instead of HSH, and also it will have a miniswitch for tapcoil all the pickups.

I mean about switching:

I have still to think about how the miniswitch will work.

hey!
I do not start another one...

the numbers of my projects are in order of date that I started them (DC01, 02..... 06).

this is my second project that I began. and you know: the luthiers work very sloooooowly.

for this reason, and bored with waiting, I decided to build my own bodies by myself for the others projects.

lol. like it really matters. if he has the means to have several projects going at once then more power to him.

dani, looks like another great idea. it's really awesome to see these go from concept to reality.

Hi Dani, just wanted to ask how is monster guitar shop service these days. Did you have to wait a year for the body or was it relatively fast and reasonable?
