From the top of my head.

24 fret maple with rose wood finger board neck.
Yamaha TRS tremolo.
DiMarzio Pups, something like vintage PAF's ( I think -they might be something alongthese lines ) and I'm prity sure that it has a blue velvet as a single in the middle.

Avaliable in like a blue/black and a orange/yellow.

Its your 'basic' super strat yamaha I guess! I haven't played one but if its anything to go on my yamaha strats are excellent guitarsm, as I'm sure this one is too.

not the same model bro. A friend is selling it to me but apparently he doesn't have any idea with the specs. i'm thinkin of buying it but i'm particular bout the woods! I'm not sure what body it has and neck and the flame maple top if it's a veneer or a wood on top of an alder or mahogany body.. I saw a pic in google just like it. reversed head. maple fretboard. not sure with the body and the maple top though.. anybody have one?? SPECS pls!! HELP!!

Actually, it is a rgx821dmr, lol.

ive checked on the headstock and there is a sticker with 821dmr on it.



i once found the spec on the yamaha website but they have changed the site and it isnt there anymore.

but it was like this :

body = alder with flame maple in front and back.(veneer)
neck = maple with maple fretboard, reverse headstock, last 5 fret scalloped.
trem = takeuchi floyd rose pro licensed. (very good)
hardware = gold
pickup = h-s-h dimarzio,paf pro or air series, not sure wich one here.....
no neck plate, there is 2 bar with 2 screws each, sort of yamaha annj version.

if you want specific picture of something, just ask and i will try to help you.

wow that's so kind of you swirl!! i sure appreciate that dude! can you email the pics to me?? pls pls.. pls send it to karasu_bheng@yahoo.com!! pls dude. anyhow, does it sound great?? how's the feel of the neck and does it sound warm? light? or right on the middle? i'm a little bit skeptic coz i've never used alder bodied guitar with maple neck and fretboard. though i have an rg550 with maple fretboard. i hope it sound warmer than my rg550 with a basswood body. help!

No. It's just a veneer, perhaps 1-2mm thick.

It affects the tone as much as sticking a plectrum to the body would.

what's the stock pickups? on the japanese website, says it has dimarzio's air classic, blue velvet and the bridge pickup is not written though. and about the trs pro bridge, does it work like an edge bridge where you'll just need to slip in the bar? or does it work like a floyd rose that has threads on the bar like a screw?

The veneer has almost no affect, it's really just there for show.
