Dragonburst Custom LP - progress pictures!!

It's finish sample time! My luthier shot some photos of the stain on some pieces of scrap wood and sent em over for my approval. I think these look pretty damn good. It's gonna be blue around the edges, turqoise next, and then green in the middle. The blot on the top is the dragonburst in general, the turqoise is shown separately on the bottom blot. It'll be a blue-er turquoise where it meets the blue paint, and a greener where it meets the green in the middle.

is the neck angled back at all? it looks dead even with the body in your pics.

Finish is DONE, and I am pleased. It has to be clearcoated of course, but the staining itself is complete. Here are some pics. Again not the best pics in the world, but gives a general idea. And that last pic is very strange (so dark...) but shows off the inlays quite well. Enjoy all!

Thanks guys. Bammbamm, let's just say I'm friends with the luthier and so it's costing me less than a reasonably nice Gibson would . I PM'd ya.

Finish looks amazing. Love that it's going to be string thru and not a stopbar as well. Love the quilted strip on the back too. What kind of hardware and pups do you plan on using?

Thanks man. And yeah, I greatly prefer string thru to stop bar.

For hardware: Sperzel locking tuners (chrome), Tonepros TOM bridge (chrome)
For pups: Bareknuckle Mule / Warpig combo (reverse zebra, open coil) w/ coil taps

I hope so . Never tried BK pups before but I hear NOTHING but great reviews. all the other hardware is tried and true, I use em on all my guitars.
